Donations

Our $25 adoption fees cover only a small part of our costs.  Last year, our costs for our cat and guinea pig rescue were 4 times that of our adoption fees we took in. We are not funded by any grants, county budgets, etc. We operate the rescue out of our home and travel many miles to pick up animals in need, take them to vets etc. There are just 2 of us running the entire rescue. Most of the expenses are covered out of our own pockets. Even when things are going well and our guinea pigs don't have any major medical bills, expenses outpace income.  Vet bills for little Winston ( a guinea pig who came into SJACC with 4 puncture wounds and an abcess) during September 2007 are approaching $400.  Momma Pig's vet bills for her mammary mass and biopsy were over $250. Neutering costs us $45 for each guinea pig. So, any donations are appreciated.  You can make a tax deductible donation through our parent organization, The Rabbit Haven. If you donate through them, please note somehow that the donation is for the guinea pigs or the rabbits will get it instead (which is cool too). If you want to donate directly to us, you can either send us a check or soon you'll be able donate through PayPal. You can donate through PayPal now but I don't have a separate rescue PayPal account set up yet.

1) To donate through the Rabbit Haven, please go to this link:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr  (for PayPal instructions - remember to mark it for the guinea pigs)

Don't forget to note somewhere that the donation is for the guinea pigs.
