Guinea Pig Boarding
We are offering guinea pig boarding in our home on a space-available basis. Proceeds are used to help pay for veterinary care, especially surgeries for our rescue piggies. Our adoption fees only cover a small portion of our expenses.
RATES:
One guinea pig: $8/day; $50 first week; $45 each successive week
Two guinea pigs sharing a cage. $10/day, $65 first week; $60 each successive week.
Your guinea pig will be housed in our C&C cages or similar cages, as seen on www.GuineaPigCages.com. Most cages are 28" x 42",(2grids x 3 grids). They will not be housed in the same cages as our rescue guinea pigs. If you would like to bring your own cage, check with us to see if we can fit it in. E-Mail sue @ CavyHouse.org for more information.
Guinea pigs get fresh veggies daily, Oxbow Cavy Cuisine or Cavy Performance or Kleen Mama's pellets (unless you bring something else), alfalfa and/or timothy hay (whichever is appropriate for them), lots of fresh veggies and water. We use kiln-dried pine shavings, just like our own piggies and rescue piggies get. We can use Carefresh bedding for an extra fee (the cost of the bedding), or you can provide it. We will trim their nails for no charge, just ask.
We can sometimes arrange pickup in Los Altos, Redwood City and occasionally Santa Cruz, if I'm going to be in the area for other reasons.
